Casa Dragones is an ultra premium small batch Tequila founded in 2009 by Bertha González Nieves, the first female Maestra Tequilera certified by the Mexican Academy of Tequila Tasters. An independent, small batch producer with a passion for crafting extraordinary tequila and doing it perfectly. It’s one bottle at a time, ensuring attention to every detail and the highest quality.
Casa Dragones is only produced from Blue Agaves which are nurtured for 7 to 9 years, ripened to perfection in The Valley of Tequila, in Jalisco. The high altitude, heat extremes and rich fertile soild produce larger Agave renowned for sweetness and higher sugar yields.
To create tequilas that are smooth enough to sip, Casa Dragones employ a state-of-the-art process of elaboration. They distil the tequila multiple times in an advanced column process. An ultra-modern filtration system is used to achieve brilliant, platinum hues, which is believed to enhance the experience of taste. The good folk at Casa Dragones kindly sent samples to us and we’ll happily confirm this is excellent tequila, light and surprising fresh, perfectly balanced and smooth for sipping. Casa Dragones produce Blanco tequila, Joven tequila and a recently created Anejo Tequila.
Casa Dragones translates as the House of Dragons as is named after the Dragones from San Miguel de Allende. They were a cavalry led by Ignacio Allende that eventually helped the Mexican independence movement as from the Spanish rule.
