The story of Johnnie Walker began in 1820, when John Walker started selling whisky from his grocery shop in Kilmarnock, Scotland. His son Alexander Walker later expanded the family business and developed the distinctive blending style that helped establish Johnnie Walker as an internationally recognised whisky brand.
Black Label has a particularly long history within the Johnnie Walker range. Originally known as "Extra Special Old Highland Whisky," the blend became known as Black Label in the early 20th century. Its distinctive black label and iconic square bottle have since become instantly recognisable around the world.
Johnnie Walker Black Label is a classic 12 Year Old blended Scotch whisky renowned for its rich, smooth character and distinctive smoky depth. Crafted using a carefully selected combination of single malt and grain whiskies from across Scotland, every whisky in the blend has been matured for a minimum of 12 years. The result is a beautifully balanced Scotch combining sweet fruit, vanilla and warming spice with a gentle layer of smoke. A versatile and dependable whisky, Black Label is equally enjoyable neat, over ice or as the foundation of a classic whisky highball or cocktail.
Aromas of ripe fruit, vanilla and sweet malt are complemented by hints of orange peel, gentle oak and delicate smoke. The palate is rich and smooth, with layers of caramel, toffee, sweet fruit and warming spice developing alongside a subtle smoky character. A long, satisfying finish brings together soft vanilla, oak, spice and lingering peat smoke.

We treat all personalised bottles individually, taking our time and experience to set out your message to create the most impactful bottle decoration possible. This may include increase the size of some fonts within the message to pay particular focus on key lines or phrases, spacing message over extra lines and removing unnecessary punctuation.
Yes, all the lines of messages will be centred.
If you can type it, we can engrave it! When using alternative languages it may be neccessary for us to alter the font to ensure all characters are supported, in these cases we use the closest style font to your original selection.
Unfortunatley we are unable to engrave emoji's or picture characters. Where these are added the character will be removed from your message.
We specially select the fonts we use. Once a bottle has been engraved the cut glass is then infilled with a special decorative silver paste. These fonts ensure we provide the optimum width and depth during the engraving process to creat maximum visibility once infilled.
The fonts we currently use are: Lucida Calligraphy, Lucida Handwriting, Verdana and Segoe Print.
