D1 Potato Vodka is produced by D.J. Limbrey Distilling Company, a British spirits producer founded by Dominic Limbrey. The brand brings together traditional distilling expertise with a strong contemporary artistic identity, most notably through its striking bottle artwork by artist Jacky Tsai.
The vodka's production begins with a lengthy fermentation before two separate distillations. During the second distillation, the potato spirit travels through seven column stills reaching around 40 metres in height, passing over more than 2,000 purification plates. This highly controlled process allows the finished spirit to be bottled without filtration, preserving its creamy, full-bodied mouthfeel.
The bottle itself is almost as distinctive as the vodka. Jacky Tsai's “Stained Glass Skull” artwork combines traditional stained-glass imagery with Mexican Calavera symbolism, while the Union Jack reflects the brand's British identity.
Rich and savoury aromas of toasted sourdough, buttery potato and fresh sage lead into a remarkably smooth palate. Salty butter and earthy vegetal flavours are joined by bitter dark chocolate, sweet fig, wild honey and subtle Mediterranean herbs, creating an intriguing balance between savoury richness and gentle sweetness. The finish is silky and warming, with notes of white chocolate, double cream and a delicate touch of Szechuan pepper.

We treat all personalised bottles individually, taking our time and experience to set out your message to create the most impactful bottle decoration possible. This may include increase the size of some fonts within the message to pay particular focus on key lines or phrases, spacing message over extra lines and removing unnecessary punctuation.
Yes, all the lines of messages will be centred.
If you can type it, we can engrave it! When using alternative languages it may be neccessary for us to alter the font to ensure all characters are supported, in these cases we use the closest style font to your original selection.
Unfortunatley we are unable to engrave emoji's or picture characters. Where these are added the character will be removed from your message.
We specially select the fonts we use. Once a bottle has been engraved the cut glass is then infilled with a special decorative silver paste. These fonts ensure we provide the optimum width and depth during the engraving process to creat maximum visibility once infilled.
The fonts we currently use are: Lucida Calligraphy, Lucida Handwriting, Verdana and Segoe Print.
