Clase Azul was founded by Arturo Lomelí, with the brand built around a combination of Mexican spirits and the country's long tradition of craftsmanship. The company describes its identity as being rooted in Mexican culture, traditions and artisanship, with its distinctive bottles forming an important part of the overall presentation.
Clase Azul Reposado begins with mature Blue Weber Agave cultivated in the highlands of Jalisco. The agave is traditionally cooked before fermentation and distillation, with copper pot stills used to create the spirit. It is then matured for at least eight months in American whiskey barrels, allowing the tequila to develop additional layers of vanilla, oak, spice and dried-fruit character while retaining its cooked-agave foundation.
The presentation is particularly recognisable. Clase Azul Reposado is housed in a hand-painted Talavera-style ceramic decanter made in Mexico, reflecting the brand's close relationship with Mexican artisanal techniques. Each bottle is designed to be appreciated as both a container for the tequila and a piece of decorative craftsmanship.
The Reposado occupies the middle ground within the core Clase Azul range: brighter and less mature than the Añejo, but considerably richer and more oak-influenced than the unaged Plata.
Warm aromas of cooked agave mingle with vanilla, gentle oak and fresh citrus, accompanied by subtle spicy notes of clove. The palate is smooth and rounded, bringing together sweet roasted agave with juicy citrus and creamy vanilla, while hints of raw chocolate and toasted wood add depth. As the tequila develops, delicate spice and caramelised sweetness become more noticeable, leading to a long, warming finish with lingering agave, vanilla, citrus and soft oak.

We treat all personalised bottles individually, taking our time and experience to set out your message to create the most impactful bottle decoration possible. This may include increase the size of some fonts within the message to pay particular focus on key lines or phrases, spacing message over extra lines and removing unnecessary punctuation.
Yes, all the lines of messages will be centred.
If you can type it, we can engrave it! When using alternative languages it may be neccessary for us to alter the font to ensure all characters are supported, in these cases we use the closest style font to your original selection.
Unfortunatley we are unable to engrave emoji's or picture characters. Where these are added the character will be removed from your message.
We specially select the fonts we use. Once a bottle has been engraved the cut glass is then infilled with a special decorative silver paste. These fonts ensure we provide the optimum width and depth during the engraving process to creat maximum visibility once infilled.
The fonts we currently use are: Lucida Calligraphy, Lucida Handwriting, Verdana and Segoe Print.
