Clase Azul Gold was created around the idea of the moment when day meets night, drawing inspiration from the spectacular colours of a Mexican sunset. The producer describes it as a Joven tequila intended to be enjoyed during this transition between light and darkness, which is reflected in both the liquid and its unusual presentation.
Rather than relying on a single maturation style, Gold brings together three different tequila profiles. The blend includes Clase Azul Plata for fresh agave character, a special Reposado matured in French oak for additional fruit and oak complexity, and an Extra Añejo that spends time in American whiskey casks before receiving a sherry-cask finish. Combining these components creates a tequila with both youthful freshness and mature, barrel-derived flavours.
The presentation is particularly distinctive. The tequila is housed in a shimmering glass decanter fused to a dark ceramic base, designed to evoke the transition from daylight into evening. The ceramic base is decorated with hand-painted 24-karat gold ribbons, while the combination of glass and ceramic required an extended development process to perfect.
Clase Azul was founded in Guadalajara in 1997 by Arturo Lomelí, with the brand becoming known for combining premium Mexican spirits with distinctive handcrafted decanters and traditional Mexican artistry. Gold continues that approach by treating the bottle as an important part of the overall experience.
Soft amber in colour with delicate golden sparkles, the tequila opens with aromas of sweet agave syrup, green apple and orange peel, followed by fresh fig, raisins and subtle almond and walnut. The palate develops a fascinating contrast between toasted wood, ripe fig and green olive, with warming ginger and rich dark chocolate adding depth. A gentle nutty character sits beneath the fruit and cocoa, leading to a long, satisfying finish where toasted oak, dried fruit and chocolate remain on the palate.

We treat all personalised bottles individually, taking our time and experience to set out your message to create the most impactful bottle decoration possible. This may include increase the size of some fonts within the message to pay particular focus on key lines or phrases, spacing message over extra lines and removing unnecessary punctuation.
Yes, all the lines of messages will be centred.
If you can type it, we can engrave it! When using alternative languages it may be neccessary for us to alter the font to ensure all characters are supported, in these cases we use the closest style font to your original selection.
Unfortunatley we are unable to engrave emoji's or picture characters. Where these are added the character will be removed from your message.
We specially select the fonts we use. Once a bottle has been engraved the cut glass is then infilled with a special decorative silver paste. These fonts ensure we provide the optimum width and depth during the engraving process to creat maximum visibility once infilled.
The fonts we currently use are: Lucida Calligraphy, Lucida Handwriting, Verdana and Segoe Print.
