Cazcabel comes from the Vázquez family, a fourth-generation family of agave farmers based in Los Altos de Jalisco. The brand follows a field-to-glass approach, with its own Blue Weber Agave cultivated, harvested and transformed into tequila on the family estate. The Hacienda Cazcabel distillery, operating under NOM 1436, is designed around keeping production closely connected to the family's agricultural roots.
The production process begins with mature Blue Weber Agave grown specifically for its high brix levels. The plants are harvested by hand when they reach full maturity, then slowly cooked in traditional brick ovens for around 36 hours before resting for a further 24 hours. The cooked agave is crushed using roller mills, with the resulting fibres recovered for composting and use on the estate.
Spring water and Cazcabel's proprietary yeast are added for fermentation before the spirit undergoes double distillation in stainless-steel pot stills lined with copper. The Blanco is then bottled without oak ageing or added flavourings, preserving the fresh character of the agave. Cazcabel describes the expression as being made only with its agave, spring water and yeast.
The distillery also places considerable emphasis on sustainability. Cazcabel states that its Hacienda Cazcabel facility, which became the brand's new home in 2024, obtains around 95% of its required energy from solar power, while wastewater is treated and agave fibres are reused as compost.
Fresh and lively aromas bring together roasted agave, citrus zest and subtle spice, leading into a smooth and silky palate where earthy agave sweetness is balanced by bright citrus flavours. Hints of herbs and gentle pepper add warmth and complexity as the spirit develops, while a delicate smoky character emerges towards the end. The finish is clean and crisp, with lingering black pepper, light smoke and a refreshing citrus edge.

We treat all personalised bottles individually, taking our time and experience to set out your message to create the most impactful bottle decoration possible. This may include increase the size of some fonts within the message to pay particular focus on key lines or phrases, spacing message over extra lines and removing unnecessary punctuation.
Yes, all the lines of messages will be centred.
If you can type it, we can engrave it! When using alternative languages it may be neccessary for us to alter the font to ensure all characters are supported, in these cases we use the closest style font to your original selection.
Unfortunatley we are unable to engrave emoji's or picture characters. Where these are added the character will be removed from your message.
We specially select the fonts we use. Once a bottle has been engraved the cut glass is then infilled with a special decorative silver paste. These fonts ensure we provide the optimum width and depth during the engraving process to creat maximum visibility once infilled.
The fonts we currently use are: Lucida Calligraphy, Lucida Handwriting, Verdana and Segoe Print.
