818 Tequila was founded by Kendall Jenner and takes its name from the 818 telephone area code associated with the San Fernando Valley in California. The brand works with family-owned farms in Jalisco and combines traditional tequila-making methods with modern production techniques.
The process begins with mature Blue Weber Agave, which is carefully harvested by hand after several years of growth. The agave hearts are cooked before being crushed using traditional stone tahona wheels. The resulting juice is fermented before undergoing double distillation in copper alembic pot stills.
Following distillation, the tequila is rested in carefully selected oak barrels. This maturation period allows the fresh agave character of the Blanco to become softer and more rounded while developing additional flavours such as vanilla, caramel and toasted oak. The result is a Reposado designed to retain the identity of the agave while gaining the warmth and complexity associated with barrel ageing.
The brand entered a new stage in 2026, when Sazerac made a strategic financial investment in 818 Tequila and became its exclusive U.S. sales and distribution partner. The financial terms and exact ownership percentage were not publicly disclosed. Kendall Jenner remains the founder of 818, so it is more accurate to describe the brand as Kendall Jenner-founded, with Sazerac as an investor and U.S. distribution partner.
Smooth and inviting, 818 Reposado opens with aromas of cooked agave, vanilla and toasted oak, accompanied by hints of caramel and gentle spice. The palate is rounded and silky, with sweet agave at the core alongside creamy vanilla, ripe fruit and subtle caramelised notes. Light oak and baking spice add complexity without dominating the spirit, while the finish is warm, smooth and lingering, with a pleasant balance between agave sweetness and barrel character.

We treat all personalised bottles individually, taking our time and experience to set out your message to create the most impactful bottle decoration possible. This may include increase the size of some fonts within the message to pay particular focus on key lines or phrases, spacing message over extra lines and removing unnecessary punctuation.
Yes, all the lines of messages will be centred.
If you can type it, we can engrave it! When using alternative languages it may be neccessary for us to alter the font to ensure all characters are supported, in these cases we use the closest style font to your original selection.
Unfortunatley we are unable to engrave emoji's or picture characters. Where these are added the character will be removed from your message.
We specially select the fonts we use. Once a bottle has been engraved the cut glass is then infilled with a special decorative silver paste. These fonts ensure we provide the optimum width and depth during the engraving process to creat maximum visibility once infilled.
The fonts we currently use are: Lucida Calligraphy, Lucida Handwriting, Verdana and Segoe Print.
