Whispering Angel is produced at Château d'Esclans, a historic estate located in the hills of Provence. The château has a long history dating back centuries, while the modern story of Whispering Angel began in 2006, when Sacha Lichine acquired the estate and set out to create a new generation of premium Provence rosé.
Lichine's approach helped transform perceptions of rosé, demonstrating that it could be crafted with the same attention to detail, precision and quality associated with fine white and red wines. Whispering Angel became one of the wines at the forefront of this movement and has since developed a global following.
The grapes are sourced from selected vineyards around the Esclans Valley and throughout the Côtes de Provence region. Harvesting takes place at night to protect the grapes from the warmth of the Mediterranean climate and preserve their freshness. On arrival at the winery, the grapes are carefully sorted before gentle crushing and pressing.
The wine is made entirely in stainless-steel tanks. Free-run and press juices are fermented separately under carefully controlled temperatures, while regular bâtonnage helps build the wine's smooth texture and complexity. The finished wine is then aged on its fine lees in tank rather than oak, preserving its fresh and fruit-focused character.
Pale and beautifully delicate in appearance, Whispering Angel opens with fresh aromas of strawberry and red berries, complemented by subtle floral and citrus notes. The palate is smooth and generously textured, bringing together ripe red fruit, delicate peach and refreshing acidity, with a gentle mineral and saline character adding definition. Despite its rounded, fleshy texture, the wine remains distinctly dry, finishing clean, elegant and lingering with impressive freshness.

We treat all personalised bottles individually, taking our time and experience to set out your message to create the most impactful bottle decoration possible. This may include increase the size of some fonts within the message to pay particular focus on key lines or phrases, spacing message over extra lines and removing unnecessary punctuation.
Yes, all the lines of messages will be centred.
If you can type it, we can engrave it! When using alternative languages it may be neccessary for us to alter the font to ensure all characters are supported, in these cases we use the closest style font to your original selection.
Unfortunatley we are unable to engrave emoji's or picture characters. Where these are added the character will be removed from your message.
We specially select the fonts we use. Once a bottle has been engraved the cut glass is then infilled with a special decorative silver paste. These fonts ensure we provide the optimum width and depth during the engraving process to creat maximum visibility once infilled.
The fonts we currently use are: Lucida Calligraphy, Lucida Handwriting, Verdana and Segoe Print.
