Villa Marcello is a historic estate in Fontanelle, Treviso, in the heart of the Prosecco DOC production area. The villa dates back to the late 17th century, when it was built by the Tiepolo family as a hunting lodge surrounded by woodland. During the early 19th century, Elisabetta Galvani Onigo planted vines on the estate, establishing a winemaking tradition that continues today.
The modern Villa Marcello wine project was developed by Giovanni Mazzei, representing the 25th generation of the historic Mazzei family wine dynasty. His connection to the Marcello family brought together the Mazzei family's long winemaking heritage with the Veneto estate and its distinctive Prosecco terroir.
The vineyards lie at approximately 25 metres above sea level on silty clay soils, with carefully selected vines grown using the Sylvoz training system. The grapes are harvested and fermented under controlled conditions before undergoing their second fermentation using the Charmat method. Extended contact with selected yeasts helps give the finished wine additional finesse, texture and complexity.
Fresh and fragrant, Villa Marcello Prosecco Treviso offers inviting aromas of crisp apple and ripe pear alongside delicate floral notes reminiscent of acacia and wisteria. The palate is lively yet rounded, with generous white-fruit flavours, refreshing acidity and a fine, delicate perlage. A subtle sweetness from the Extra Dry style adds softness and balance, while the finish remains clean and pleasantly refreshing.

We treat all personalised bottles individually, taking our time and experience to set out your message to create the most impactful bottle decoration possible. This may include increase the size of some fonts within the message to pay particular focus on key lines or phrases, spacing message over extra lines and removing unnecessary punctuation.
Yes, all the lines of messages will be centred.
If you can type it, we can engrave it! When using alternative languages it may be neccessary for us to alter the font to ensure all characters are supported, in these cases we use the closest style font to your original selection.
Unfortunatley we are unable to engrave emoji's or picture characters. Where these are added the character will be removed from your message.
We specially select the fonts we use. Once a bottle has been engraved the cut glass is then infilled with a special decorative silver paste. These fonts ensure we provide the optimum width and depth during the engraving process to creat maximum visibility once infilled.
The fonts we currently use are: Lucida Calligraphy, Lucida Handwriting, Verdana and Segoe Print.
