Pascal Jolivet established his wine house in 1987 in Sancerre, developing a reputation for producing elegant Sauvignon Blancs that express the character of their individual terroirs. Sauvage belongs to the estate's Pure Expression range and is designed to showcase the purity and intensity that can be achieved from carefully selected old vines.
Pascal Jolivet Sancerre Blanc Sauvage is a distinctive and highly expressive Sauvignon Blanc created as a pure expression of Sancerre's terroir. Produced from carefully selected old vines grown on just two hectares of clay-limestone and Kimmeridgian soils around Champtin and Bué-en-Sancerre, this exceptional wine combines remarkable freshness with concentration, complexity and mineral precision. Organic vineyard cultivation and natural winemaking allow the character of the fruit and terroir to shine through, while extended ageing on fine lees gives the wine impressive texture and depth.
Powerful yet refined, Sauvage opens with concentrated aromas of ripe citrus, white-fleshed fruit and subtle flinty, earthy nuances. The palate is exceptionally fresh and vibrant, revealing layers of lemon, grapefruit, ripe pear and orchard fruit alongside a pronounced mineral character. Its remarkable texture gives the wine weight and depth, while lively acidity provides precision and energy. As it develops in the glass, more complex savoury and subtly earthy aromas emerge, leading to a long, dry finish marked by an impressive saline quality. This combination of concentration, minerality, freshness and complexity gives Sauvage a character that sets it apart from more straightforward expressions of Sancerre.

We treat all personalised bottles individually, taking our time and experience to set out your message to create the most impactful bottle decoration possible. This may include increase the size of some fonts within the message to pay particular focus on key lines or phrases, spacing message over extra lines and removing unnecessary punctuation.
Yes, all the lines of messages will be centred.
If you can type it, we can engrave it! When using alternative languages it may be neccessary for us to alter the font to ensure all characters are supported, in these cases we use the closest style font to your original selection.
Unfortunatley we are unable to engrave emoji's or picture characters. Where these are added the character will be removed from your message.
We specially select the fonts we use. Once a bottle has been engraved the cut glass is then infilled with a special decorative silver paste. These fonts ensure we provide the optimum width and depth during the engraving process to creat maximum visibility once infilled.
The fonts we currently use are: Lucida Calligraphy, Lucida Handwriting, Verdana and Segoe Print.
