Delas Frères is a historic Rhône wine house whose roots stretch back to the 19th century. Its Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines reflect the house's long association with the Rhône Valley and its focus on expressing the character of individual appellations.
Haute Pierre takes its name from the distinctive terroir on which Châteauneuf-du-Pape vines are grown. The vineyards feature terraces covered with large, rounded quartz stones known as galets roulés, mixed with red sandy clay. These stones absorb the intense Mediterranean sunshine during the day before releasing heat overnight, helping the grapes reach full ripeness. The region is also strongly influenced by the Mistral, the famous dry wind that helps keep the vineyards healthy.
The wine is made using traditional methods. The grapes are destemmed and crushed before fermentation in concrete vats for around ten days, followed by a further eight to ten days of maceration to encourage the extraction of colour, flavour and structure. Malolactic fermentation takes place in vats, after which the wine is matured in large 60-hectolitre oak vessels for approximately eight to fourteen months. This approach allows the wine to develop richness and complexity while maintaining the natural character of the fruit.
Deep garnet red in the glass, Haute Pierre immediately displays an enticing combination of ripe red and dark fruits, intense spice and subtle earthy nuances. The palate is rich, concentrated and full-bodied, with generous Grenache fruit balanced by finely textured tannins and the deeper, more structured character of Syrah. Hints of blackcurrant, ripe berries, warm spice and liquorice develop as the wine opens, while carefully integrated oak contributes gentle complexity rather than overpowering the fruit. The finish is long, warming and aromatic, leaving a distinctive liquorice note alongside lingering fruit and spice.

We treat all personalised bottles individually, taking our time and experience to set out your message to create the most impactful bottle decoration possible. This may include increase the size of some fonts within the message to pay particular focus on key lines or phrases, spacing message over extra lines and removing unnecessary punctuation.
Yes, all the lines of messages will be centred.
If you can type it, we can engrave it! When using alternative languages it may be neccessary for us to alter the font to ensure all characters are supported, in these cases we use the closest style font to your original selection.
Unfortunatley we are unable to engrave emoji's or picture characters. Where these are added the character will be removed from your message.
We specially select the fonts we use. Once a bottle has been engraved the cut glass is then infilled with a special decorative silver paste. These fonts ensure we provide the optimum width and depth during the engraving process to creat maximum visibility once infilled.
The fonts we currently use are: Lucida Calligraphy, Lucida Handwriting, Verdana and Segoe Print.
