Curado was created through a collaboration between the Estes and Camarena families, with the aim of intensifying the natural flavour of agave in a 100% Blue Weber Tequila. Rather than relying on barrel ageing to add complexity, the producers developed a proprietary method of infusing the finished Blanco tequila with pieces of traditionally cooked agave.
The base tequila is produced by renowned third-generation Master Distiller Carlos Camarena. Once the 100% Blue Weber Blanco has been produced, cooked agave is added using Curado's distinctive infusion process. The producer currently uses three varieties for its infusions Blue Weber, Cupreata and Espadín with each variety bringing its own regional character to the finished tequila.
For the Espadín expression, the additional agave brings a different dimension to the Blue Weber base. Espadín is widely associated with mezcal production and is known for its earthy, herbal and smoky characteristics. In Curado, these qualities are integrated into a tequila rather than creating a traditional mezcal, resulting in a spirit that remains bright and fresh while carrying additional roasted-agave depth.
The infusion itself is also designed to add a subtle natural sweetness. Curado explains that each agave variety is cooked according to traditional methods from its respective region, with the cooked agave contributing flavour and sweetness to the tequila.
Fragrant cooked agave opens the profile, accompanied by earthy herbs, citrus and subtle smoke. The palate is rich and expressive, with roasted agave sweetness joined by green herbs, pepper and gentle vegetal notes. As the flavours develop, hints of cooked fruit and warm spice add depth, while the distinctive Espadín character brings a light smoky edge and savoury complexity. The finish is long and warming, leaving lingering impressions of sweet agave, herbs, pepper and subtle smoke.

We treat all personalised bottles individually, taking our time and experience to set out your message to create the most impactful bottle decoration possible. This may include increase the size of some fonts within the message to pay particular focus on key lines or phrases, spacing message over extra lines and removing unnecessary punctuation.
Yes, all the lines of messages will be centred.
If you can type it, we can engrave it! When using alternative languages it may be neccessary for us to alter the font to ensure all characters are supported, in these cases we use the closest style font to your original selection.
Unfortunatley we are unable to engrave emoji's or picture characters. Where these are added the character will be removed from your message.
We specially select the fonts we use. Once a bottle has been engraved the cut glass is then infilled with a special decorative silver paste. These fonts ensure we provide the optimum width and depth during the engraving process to creat maximum visibility once infilled.
The fonts we currently use are: Lucida Calligraphy, Lucida Handwriting, Verdana and Segoe Print.
